Welding repairs (aluminum), 2. Renew hull seam welding, 3. Renew aluminum frames, stiffeners, & brackets, 4. Air test Skeg, 5. Remove, inspect, and reinstall propeller shaft, 6. Straighten shaft, 7. Renew propulsion shaft stern tube bearings, 8. Renew propulsion shaft strut bearings, 9. Remove and reinstall propeller, 10. Remove and test valves, 11. Remove, inspect, and reinstall rudder assembly, 12. Clean and inspect diesel fuel tanks, 13. Preserve main deck, 14. Preserve aluminum underwater body, 15. Preserve freeboard, 18. Renew corrosion preventive zinc anodes, 19. Ultronic testing, 20. Temporary logistics, 21. Routine drydocking. Vessel's homeport for all six vessels will be Galveston, TX. Vessel availability schedule is for 21 days per vessel, with first vessel starting on or about 18 November 1995. There will be a non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the amount of $100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification reference drawings. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 30 May 1995. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
