The State of Missouri operates Mark Twain State Park and Lake Wappapello State Park under contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers, which owns and manages Mark Twain Lake (Monroe County) and Wappapello Lake (Wayne County). Sealed proposals for the operation of either of two Missouri State Park concessions, addressed to DAS Procurement Officer, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, 205 Jefferson Street, P.O. Box 176, Jefferson City, MO 65102, and endorsed ``Concession Proposal,'' will be accepted by the Director until 1:00 pm CDT on the dates indicated below. Bids received after the established dates and times will not be considered. Mark Twain State Park located 120 miles northwest of St. Louis, the concessionaire will build and operate a new 250 slip marina, including provisions store and boat rental. Opportunity also exists for boat sales and service, and for a roadside convenience store. This concession will require a substantial investment ($1 million plus/minus), and a twenty-year contract is offered. The bid closing date is October 18, 1995. Lake Wappapello State Park located 120 miles south of St. Louis, the concessionaire will build and operate a marina (up to 100 slips), including provisions store and boat rental. Concessionaire will also manage the state's eight existing housekeeping cabins. This concession will require a material investment ($200,000-$500,000), and the contract term will be ten to twenty years, depending upon investment. The bid closing date is September 15, 1995. All bids must be submitted on the official proposal forms which may be obtained from the Procurement Officer, Division of Administrative Support, MO Department of Natural Resources, P.O.
