Borick, Contracting Officer, 208/828-2664. The contractor shall furnish
all plant, labor, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision
necessary to perform all operations in connection with the Repair and
Alteration of Lightning Protection. The work includes (a) replacing
aerial lightning protection systems over munitions igloos and the
ground loop system around the igloos, with a new system and integrating
these systems with the existing igloos. (b) replacing the ground loops
around six other munitions buildings and integrating the ground loops
with the existing lightning protection systems on the roofs of the
facilities. (c) new aerial system and ground loop around a large
asphalt pad with associated poles, hardware, and supports. The
magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The total
performance period for this project is 70 calendar days after the
issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Requests for solicitation must be in
writing and include address, telephone number, facsimile number,
business type (small, large, or small disadvantaged business). This
action is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged
business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our
office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime
contractor as early as possible but no later than 11 Aug 95. This
notification must include a positive statement of eligibility,
certification certificate as proof of SDB or DBE status as a small
socially and economically disadvantaged business concern and evidence
of the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude.
Complete information concerning management experience in similar work
and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate
interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be
issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Project
requirements will be made available on or about 18 Aug 95. Submit
