The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and replace the roof of the General Mail Facility, approximately 121,500 s.f., and the Vehicle Maintenance Facility, approximately 4,560 s.f. Work includes complete removal of the existing built-up gravel-surfaced roof and rigid insulation, and removal of roof insulation vents, roof expansion joints, and miscellaneous flashings and cap flashings. All demolished materials will be removed from the site and disposed in an approved landfill. The estimated cost range is between $700,000 and $750,000, with a construction completion date of 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. On-site contact is Manager of Maintenance Doug Peters (503/370-4742). An informal preproposal walk/through is scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 1995, at the facility. Attendees to meet at the main entrance to the customer lobby. Site visitation is not mandatory but encouraged. Cost of the plans and specifications for this project is $25 per set, nonrefundable.
