Pauline Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure through full and open competition a requirement for four (4) condenser water pump and motor assemblies identical to existing assemblies in Building 305 on the NIST Gaithersburg campus. The required vertical turbine pumps (Ingersoll-Dresser Pumps, Model No. IDP26LKM) shall be capable of 9,000 GPM at 110 ft. head. The pump motors shall be vertical solid shaft type, 300 HP non-overloading, 1,200 RPM, 460V/30/60 hz, TEFC, Class F insulation with a 1.15 service factor (U.S. Electric Motors, Model No. G74694 Frame 449 Type JV4). All prospective offerors shall demonstrate previous performance and delivery of a similar system. Detailed specifications will be available in the solicitation package. The required delivery schedule (FOB Destination - Gaithersburg) for this requirement is ninety (90) days from contract award. This notice supercedes a synopsis (advertised on July 13, 1995/Solicitation No. 52SBNB5C8794) for a sole source procurement to Cummins-Wagner.
