The Directorate of Contracting intends to use the new ''Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT)'' procedures to procure the following on an Other Than Full & Open Basis in accordance with the authority in 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 from Nippon Electronics Corporation, America, Inc. Upgrade the Nippon Electronics Corporation America, Inc. (NEC) ND4 system at Fort Ritchie. All items must be 100% compatible with existing equipment and modules. Purchase of the following: (a) 16 each, Shelf, PN: F0001AUB. Mounts on relay rack, w/connectorization use of E&M signalling. (b) 18 each, Bank Fuse Unit, PN: X5243AV02C. Unit provides -48 volts DC power to the channel units bank shelf. (c) 18 each, Power Converter Unit, PN: X5244A1V01B. Unit serves power for digroups. (d) 36 each, Pulse Generator Unit, PN: X5245AV028A. Unit generates the channel and frame pulses. (e) 18 each, Transmit/Receiver Unit, PN: X5246AV02EB. Unit transmits channel and signalling data to the channel unit. (f) 18 each, Line Interface Unit, PN: X5247AV01C. Unit serves two digroups. (g) 18 each, Clock Interface Unit, PN: X5250A01B.
