NASA Johnson Space Center intends to contract with the Institute for
Research, Inc. (IRI) of Houston, TX to provide continued research
studies of microencapsulation of anti-tumor drugs using the new Liquid
Mixing Apparatus which will be used in the Commercial Materials
Instrumentation Experiments payload on STS-69. IRI has co-developed the
previous flight experiments conducted in the Materials Dispersion
Apparatus on STS-56 and STS-67. The exact formulations of the flight
fluids are proprietary and are the subject of a pending joint NASA/IRI
patent. IRI is uniquely qualified to prepare these types of flight
formulas and in conducting the post flight analyses of the
microcapsules returned from space. See Note 22. --r (0209) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0011 19950731\A-0011.SOL)
