In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Health Care Financing Administration's Office of Research and Demonstration intends to modify contract number 500-94-0047 by expanding the scope of work to focus more intensely on; (1) the effect of managed care enrollment on access to care and the quality of care received by Medicaid recipients with disabilities and (2) the impact of managed care on the delivery of mental health and substance abuse services to Medicaid recipients. The additional work will involve applying the research issues and questions covered under the current statement of work to these specific subpopulations, the services they receive, and the organizations that provide these services.
