This notice is issued to notify prospective bidders of an upcoming project which may be of interest to general contractors, in accordance with FAR 36.302. When bid packages become available, the plans and specifications will be available for inspection at the following locations, as a minimum, without charge: U.S. Property and Fiscal Office for Rhode Island, Procurement Division, 330 Camp Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02606-1954, and Armory of Mounted Commands, Facilities Management Office, 1051 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904-5717. The quantity of bid packages, when available, will be limited. Therefore, sets of bid packages will be provided to general contractors only. Subcontractors and suppliers will be encouraged to review the specifications and drawings, at no cost, at the locations stated above. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials necessary for the demolition and removal of existing roof insulation, flashing, and built-up roofing, and replace with the new single-ply roofing system, flashing, insulation and miscellaneous incidental related work, at Hangar 4 at the Rhode Island Army National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility, Quonset State Airport, No. Kingstown, RI, Project Number 440012. The construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The IFB will be available on or about 15 August 1995, with Bid Opening on or about 15 September 1995.
