The unit must be self contained with its own power supply, have the ability to connect to a Toshiba laptop computer via standard parallel port interface, and when integrated into the computer, have the ability to receive weather satellite data from GEOS, MeteoSat and GMS as well as from polar orbiting National Oceanographic and Atomospheric Agency (NOAA) satellites, all on the same board.
