Mattia The Contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel,
materials, services, and facilities to conduct a five (5) day, forty
(40) hour training course entitled, ''Boiling Water Reactor Maintenance
Training Overview Course.'' The course shall provide NRC inspectors
with the technical training necessary to satisfy program requirements
in the areas of; equipment operation and fuel movement during refueling
operations, recirculation pump maintenance, main steam isolation valve
maintenance, control rod drive mechanism and surveillance testing,
that will help facilitate inspection effort at Boiling Water Reactor
(BWR) licensees during outage periods. The contractor shall accomplish
the course objectives through a combination of classroom
presentations, demonstrations, films, and shall be required to have a
facility equipped to provide hands-on operations or demonstrations
either on actual equipment or full scale mockups of actual BWR
equipment. A Fixed-Price Requirements contract is anticipated. The
period of performance is five (5) years. Proposals for this requirement
may be submitted by all concerns, i.e., large businesses, small
businesses, and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and
economically disadvantaged individuals. Notice to large businesses: The
subcontracting plan requirements of P.L. 95-507 are applicable to this
effort. Thus, all large businesses determined to be in the competitive
range must be prepared to submit a detailed subcontracting plan. A
source list comprising the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of
all concerns requesting a copy of the solicitation, with large
businesses identified by an asterisk, will be provided with the
solicitation. In order to identify large businesses on the list, a
request for the solicitation should indicate the size of the business
based upon a SIC code of 8999. The size standard for this solicitation
is 3.5 million. In order to allow small concerns sufficient time to
contact you for possible subcontracting opportunities, you are
encouraged to make your request for the solicitation prior to the
solicitation issuance date. A copy of the solicitation and all
subsequent amendments will be provided to each requester. Interested
firms should submit written or faxed requests to the U.S. Nuclear
Regulatory Commission at the address as shown above. Telephone requests
will not be honored. Closing date for proposals is 30 days after issue
