Construction of a Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway
Alignment Indicator Lights (MALSR), Runway 05, Columbia Metropolitan
Airport, Columbia, SC.--Work includes, but is not limited to
installation of MALSR power and control station plot with access roads
and turnaround areas, MALSR stations 0+00 through 24+08, cabling to
all light stations, boring or jacking under road,electrical work,
installation of RMS equipment in control tower, operational testing of
MALSR system, and site restoration/cleanup.--Estimated price range
$250,000.00-$500,000.00.--Estimated performance time is 75 calendar
days.--All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be
considered.--NOTE:This Notice is for informational purposes for
Minority, Women-Owned and DisadvantagedBusiness Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist
minority,women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term workingcapital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on
the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates
to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
