Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials and supplies required to prepare site areas to furnish and install 11 gated parking lot systems, with established reader data transmission, and an emergency assistance center (call boxes) with control switches and status display, and controller board. Work will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines Hospital, Hines Il. (Hines Il. is located approximately 13, miles west of Downtown Chicago). Work will include but is not limited to the preparation and construction of concrete pads and curbing along with the establishment of a communication link between the controller board and central and remote interfaces, and to prepare and install emergency intercom pedestals. Work shall also include providing sufficient power for the strobe function on each pedestal and to provide surge and EMI/RFI protection for the total system. All work will be performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and all applicable codes and standards. Bid documents will be available after August 9, 1995, by written request to the Contracting Officer, accompanied by a refundable deposit check of $35.00. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit planned for August 16, 1995, at 10:30am local time. Bid opening date is scheduled for September 13, 1995, at 1:30pm local time. Estimated cost range is $250,000.00 to $500,000.00 SIC= 1731 $7ml. Award is subject to a 90 day acceptance period. Award will be pending availability of funds.
