A -- PROCESSES THAT CONVERT INDUSTRIAL HYDROCARBON WASTE STREAMS INTO A VALUE ADDED PRODUCT Contact Mr. John Alexander. Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company (LMIT), a Management and Operating Contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL), is seeking interested parties to enter into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) for the development of processes that convert industrial hydrocarbon waste streams into a value added product. THIS ACTION IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR A PROCUREMENT CONTRACT. LMIT is seeking active and contributing partners interested in identifying and developing processes that convert hyrdocarbon waste streams resulting from commercial processes into product streams, with the boundary condition that the cost of the implementation be at least less than the real cost of disposing of the waste stream. We are specifically interested in the output streams consisting of long chain hydrocarbons, possibly containing hazardous components. The primary focus will be on the processes that convert waste streams into product streams such as alcohols, glycerols, or other materials of higher value than just that of diesel fuel or of the simple heating value of the waste stream. Currently, our interest has focused on compound processes, where the waste output streams are used as a feedstock. We are especially interested in developing eclogically clean process loops that can pay their own way. All parties interested in participating in this activity shall submit a letter of interest which must contain financial and technical capabilities to: Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company, John A. Alexander, P.O. Box 1625, Idaho Falls, ID 83415-3805. Letters of interest must be received by COB on August 11, 1995. (213)
