Contractor is to drill a production well and conduct pump/yield tests
at the Fort Indian Reservation, Fort Hall, ID. Domestic and municipal
wells in and near the Fort Hall Indian Reservation are contaminated
with the agricultural pesticide ethylene dibromide. The object of this
project is to determine if contamination is present in all elevations
of the producing aquifers. Staff from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and
the U.S. Geological Survey will monitor the drilling and conduct
various chemical and flow tests of water produced from the test well
and monitoring well. This is a small business set aside. Section 7(b)
of P.L. 93-638, (USC) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 require that preference
opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska
Native individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be
given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Failure by the
contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior to award and implement
same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award or
termination of contract. (212) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0024 19950802\F-0001.SOL)
