Smith, (706)731-7174 Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to assemble, deliver, pick-up, clean, repair and store durable medical equipment (DME) to include, but not limited to, hospital beds with mattress and side rails (manual and electric), trapeze assemblies, patient lifts, wheelchairs, bathroom safety equipment, overbed tables, recliner chairs and portable ramps, for beneficiaries residing in the Augusta, Georgia, Veterans Affairs Medical Center's Primary Service Area (PSA). The PSA consists of seventeen (17) counties in Georgia and seven (7) counties in South Carolina. The successful bidder must be accredited by the Joint Commisssion on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and comply with all standards in the most current volume of the Accreditation Manual for Home Care. Applicable Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7699. Solicitation will be issued for base year (October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996) with four (4) one-year options to extend.
