101195. POC Parnell Fruge, Contract Specialist or Melvin R. Collins,
Contracting Officer, at (404) 347-3178. Request for proposals for the
continued operation of the Mississippi Job Corps Center located in
Crystal Springs, Mississippi, will be available approximately August
21, 1995, for issue in response to written request. The contractor
shall provide Academic and Vocational Training, operate a Counseling
and Residential Living Program, and operate the following support
services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline
System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Discipline System,
Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Services. The contractor shall
provide overall Center Management and Administration as follows:
Contract and Personnel Administration, Staff Training, Financial
Management, Procurement and Property Management, Facility Operations
and Maintenance, Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and
Public Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and Public
Information. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover
the period April 1, 1996 through March 31, 1998, plus 3 governmental
unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average
capacity strength of the center is 405 students of which 248 are
residential male students, 147 are residental female students, 2 are
nonresidential male students and 8 are nonresidential female students.
A Pre-Proposal Conference and site visit of the facility will be
conducted at Mississippi Job Corps Center, 400 Harmony Road, Crystal
Springs, MS 39059, on August 24, 1995, 9:00 a.m., local time. All
questions prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference should be submitted in
writing. Interested offerors should limit their attendance to no more
than three persons. Upon entering the facility for the site visit, tour
participants must report and register at the Job Corps Center's
Administration Building. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due
no later than 2:00 p.m., local time on October 11, 1995 to the address
