Currently the Government is transporting blood samples to contractor's facility for speedy test results; hence, locality of testing facility must be within fifteen (15) miles of medical center. Tests are to determine blood samples to be free of i.e., HIV, hepatitis, and other screens with verification tests conducted on all suspected positives. Frequency of testing is daily, Monday through Friday, and at least stat tests on Saturday/Sunday. Stat test results must be received within 12 hours or less. Government will accept preliminary results by telephone and/or fax with hard copy to follow within seven (7) days. Estimated number of donors is 9000 per year. Contract term will be for one year from October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996. Bid documents will be available on or about August 18, 1995.
