The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL-SSC) has a requirement for physical oceanographic programs, coupled dynamical oceanic processes and microbiologically influenced corrosion. The scope of work encompasses the measurement, analysis, description and theoretical prediciton of phenomena that range in scales from microns to hundreds of kilometers. General program areas include: waves and currents in continental shelves and littoral zones, evolution of ocean finstructure under influences of turbulence and internal waves, surface wave and bubble generation and evolution, coupling of biodynamical systems with ocean hydrodynamics and optical property distributions, and the chemical/physical structures associated with constituents of marine biofilms. The contemplated period of performance will be for one basic year with four (4) option years. Prospective vendors should request in writing a copy of solicitation number N00014-95-R-PL05.
