D -- RENEWAL HARDWARE/SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SOL ATD-124-KHP-95/1102 POC Contact KAYE PETTUS,( 205)544-5828 Computer Sciences Corporation intends to negotiate with Storage Technology Corporation (STC), on a sole source basis for renewal of full support hardware maintenance for multiple Storage Technology Corporation Model 4400 Tape Silo units installed at the MSFC, AL. Period of Performance to begin October 1, 1995 through September 31, 1996. The units include as main components Library Storage Modules, Library Control Units, Library Management Unit and various tape controller and transport units. Coverage will be required on a 24x7 basis. Specific performance parameters and maintenance requirements will be detailed in the RFP Statement of Work,(SOW). Interested vendors have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e., technical specifications, brochures, and price lists) in the critical areas mentioned above. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full an open competition basis. Responses received without the required information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis. A determination by CSC not to compete this procurement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis, is solely within the discretion of CSC.
