The Department of the Treasury intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Library of Congress, Fedlink Basic Ordering Agreement, to renew a subscription with Data Resources, Inc. on a sole source basis. The required teleprocessing services include access to online current and historical economic time series data, together with forecasts based on this data. The capabilities required include, but are not limited to, weekly, monthly, and annual economic data with series observation as far back as the data has been published. Coverage must be provided for the following areas: financial statistics for the United States and major nations world-wide, including money market rates, foreign exchange, commercial bank assets and liabilities, thrift institution activity, financial and tangible commodities futures, daily price and volume for major domestic and foreign stock markets, and daily bond market indicators, business conditions, employment and unemployment, capacity utilization, exports and imports by type of good, and trade-weighted foreign exchange rates. Service will be continued through 9/30/96 at the Department of the Treasury, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20220. This synopsis is a notice of intent and should not be considered a Request for Quotation. No solicitation documents exists. WRITTEN RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE PRICES AND TECHNICAL DATA SUFFICIENT TO DETERMINE CAPABILITY. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
