The U.S. Army, CECOM, C4IEW Acquisition Center, intends to modify contract no. DAAB08-95-C-0042, awarded to The Nutmeg Companies, Inc, 31 New London Turnpike, Norwich, Ct, to add additional work to the HVAC Ststem. The contract referenced above is for the revitalization of Bldgs 1208 West and 1209, Fort Monmouth, N.J., which included changes to the buildings floor plans to accomodate new uses. The HVAV work required in this contract for Bldg 1208W encompasses the relocation of existing unit ventilators, fan coil units, ductwork, piping and diffusers. New and relocated fan coil units, along with new fresh air louvers, ductwork, associated modulating dampers and registers will be provided. The scope of work for the HVAC repair modification to be performed concurrently, involves the repair of the HVAC System in 1208 West. The HVAC repair work is to be performed on the same equipment installed under the above reference contract. The work required by the proposed modifications is not segregable from that performed under the referenced contract, and will include replacing the existing control system, providing new control valves, replacing outside fresh air intake ductwork and louvers, providing return air ductwork and grills, freezestats, replacing dampers with new, and providing a dry bulb economizer system. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared and approved. No solicitation document exists; therefore, requests for such a document shall be considered invalid for the purpose of determining whether the respondent has a bona fide capability to meet the stated requirements.
