#1 and adjacent switch with pad-mounted SF6 switches; replacing
Substation #1 primary switch and secondary distribution section while
reusing the existing transformer; replacing Substation #7 primary
switch and secondary distribution section while reusing the existing
transformer; replacing Substation #2 primary switch and secondary
distribution section while reusing the existing transformer; replacing
Substation #10 primary switch and secondary distribution section while
reusingthe existing transformer; replacing indoor Substations 17 & 17A
completely wth an outdoor substation to feed both existing loads;
replacing of all 5 KV feeders for the previously mentioned switches and
substations back to Switch House #1. Also, replacing the 5 KV feeders
that currently feed Substations 12, 16, 20, and 22; replacing Switch
House #4 with pad-mounted SF6 switches; replacing 5 KV oil switch
feeding Substation #9 with a pad-mounted SF6 switch, removing asbestos
and incidental related work. This solicitation is being considered for
100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns.
Interested SDB concerns that meet this criteria who wish to be
considered in accordance with Public Law and Federal Acquisition
Regulations should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 days of
this notice, indicate interest by providing to the Contracting Office
evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar
work with points of contact, telephone number and contract numbers),
letter from bonding company certifying maximum level of bonding for the
proposed project, affirmative statement requesting set-aside action and
intent to bid and a positive statement of eligibility as a small,
socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. Even if you
have sent evidence of SDB eligibility on a prior solicitation, you must
submit documentation that will become a part of this solicitation file.
If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns within 15 days
of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted
basis without further notice. Plans and specifications will be
available on or about 21 August 1995. A limited number of bid packages
will be available and issued on a first come first serve basis. There
is no charge for plans and specifications. Bid opening date is 20
