furnishing all Labor, Materials and Equipment necessary for the
renovation of the Medical Center's Gymnasium Locker Room facility in
order to better accommodate female patients. Architectural work to
involve wall, door/frame relocation, new gypsum wallboard construction,
partition work and existing brick/CMU wall repair. Work requires
replacement of existing plaster ceiling with new suspended acoustical
tile system. New finish work will require the installation of concrete
pad for condensing unit, mechanical HVAC work involves the
installation of new duct work, insulation, supply and return grilles,
and installation of Government-furnished air conditioning/heating unit.
Mechanical/plumbing work will require demolition of existing fixtures
and installation of new lavatories, water closets, showers and
associated piping. Electrical work consists of replacement of new
lights, switches, receptacles, conductors and conduit, to include the
retrofitting of an existing electric panel and installation of a new
electric panel. All work to be completed within 90 calendar days after
receipt of the ''Notice To Proceed''. Construction Cost Estimate:
$25,000 to $100,000. Pre-Bid Conference scheduled on August 30, 1995 at
1:00 P.M. (Local Time), Bldg. No. 33, Engineering Service Conference
Room, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Division, Gulfport,
MS. A limited number of bid packages are available and will be issued
at no cost on a first come, first served basis, to be requested in
writing or by FAX (601) 385-5796, prior to the issue date of August 14,
1995. The award of this solicitation is subject to a 90-day bid
acceptance time and contingent on availability of funds. This
acquisition is unrestricted; both Large and Small qualified business
