The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Ground Range Antenna Test Facility located at Patuxent River, MD has a requirement to upgrade their existing Antenna Measurement System. Specific equipment requirements include a 4139 Position/Controller System with the following options; Remote Programming Interface, Model 1885 Interface, Rack Mount Kit for the Remote Control Unit (RCU), and a Rack Mount Kit for the Power Amplifier Unit (PAU). Additional equipment includes a 4133 Local Control Unit, 2256-5 Cabinet for the 4139 RCU, 328984 outdoor enclosure for the PAU, 5059-2 RCU to PAU interface cable (500ft), 306013 RCU to console interface cable (8ft), and a 5051-16, which consists of a junction box to PAU interface cable (8ft), junction box to patch panel cable (500ft), patch panel to 4423 Position Indicator cable (15ft), and a feed through connector for the patch panel. The equipment must be compatible with existing government owned Scientific-Atlanta equipment. Specific equipment includes a 53230B Azimuth-Over-Elevation Positioner, 56063 Polarization Positioner, and a 5862 Antenna Tower. The Antenna Position/Controller System must also be compatible with March Microwave antenna measurement software. Based on FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, this requirement will be negotiated on a sole sources basis with Scientific-Atlanta Co., 3845 Pleasant Dale Rd, Atlanta, GA 30340-4266. This is mainly due to the requirement for compatability with existing Scientific-Atlanta equipment specified above.
