N/A FISC Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Vertical Software Incorporated (VSI) of Columbia, Maryland for the acquisition of a CITRIX-based Operating System to be used for the management of U.S. Navy Manpower, Personnel, and Training data by the AEGIS Program Office in Arlington, VA. The integrated hardware/software system will include 586/90 file server systems, a 486/66 workstation, CITRIX Server software, NOVELL Version 3.12 software, APC Power Chute software for NOVELL, a printer, a 486DX2 50 MHz active color notebook, CODEX 48000 series equipment, and system installation hardware/assemblies. System configuration, installation, testing, and training are required as is a system warranty. VSI is the only known firm that can provide the required programming changes for the CITRIX-based operating system which are required to ensure full compatibility and total system integration with the existing Local Area Network (LAN) at the AEGIS Program Office.
