Correction Bid Opening Date - Westinghouse Hanford Company, Richland, Washington is seeking response from businesses interested in the commercial development and promotion of two Emergency Egress Devices (EED) developed by its employees. The technologies are an improved electronically-controlled EED and an electric strike that engages a mechanical EED. Advantages of both devices include low cost, ease of installation, and demonstrated reliability. WHC is seeking one or more partners to complete commercial development and to market the resulting product. Qualified business partners should have adequate resources to promote this invention, including the completion of development as required and the marketing of the finished product. WHC facilities, equipment, and employees may be made available to support development. Contract format may involve Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), Work for Others contract, Licensing arrangements, and/or others, as appropriate.
