The Communications-Electronics Command is currently implementing several initiatives to ensure we are acquiring equipment in the most effective manner. One of the avenues being investigated is the widest possible use of flexible, long-term contracting in the spares arena. We are proposing to hold a half day conference in the September/October 95 timeframe to discuss these acquisition vehicles with industry. We would like to ascertain the interest of the electronics producers in attending/participating in a conference of this sort. The following is the set-up proposed: Length: half day; Location: Ft Monmouth, NJ; Level of Attendance; President/Vice President; Forum: Formal Government presentation then open discussion (round table).
