The work consists of renovations to the interior of Bldg. No. 4845 and includes minor interior demolition and removal of debris, and construction of a new second floor office area. Materials and systems required include concrete masonry loadbearing walls, composite second floor slab consisting of concrete on metal deck supported by steel bar joists, concrete filled metal pan stairs, steel doors and frames, wood doors, cabinet work, roll-up steel doors, ceiling, wall, and floor finishes, and related mechanical and electrical modifications plus installation of a new mechanical system for the new office space. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% Set-Aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested SDB Concerns should notify this office in writing, Attn: Code 0212RS of their intention to bid the project as Prime Contractor as early as possible but no later than 18 AUG 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB Concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. In either event, an amended synopsis will be issued indicating set- aside decision, Bid Opening Date and cost for plans and specs. Estimated cost is $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
