SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Albuquerque Area
Office, is seeking Indian-owned firms as potential sources to provide
an upgrade to the existing Communication Port Chatterbox Server for the
Division of Accounting Management. This proposed requirement is to
procure one (1) 25U X 780mm Cabinet for 2 card cages with fan unit, one
(1) Front plexiglass door for RB3 cabinet, one (1) Rolling base with
casters for RB2 and RB3 cabinets, one (1) Pull out keyboard with RB2,
RB3 and RB4 cabinet, two (2) Card cage and backpln acoommodations 14
NRS or NEZ pressing units, one (1) 450 watt power supply with mount for
second power supply, one (1) 450 watt power supply with second power
supply, eight (8) Upgrades to NEZ 486DX, 66MHz, VGA, twenty (20) 545MB
hard disk drives, eighteen (18) 1 short power and 1 data cable for IDE
drives mounted directly on the pressing unit, two (2) Combined floppy
and hard disk mounting kit for NEZ board, two (2) 1.4MB 3.5 (1''
height) floppy disk drive, no cables, one (1) NRS-VT1 connects cages
for keyboard sharing, forty (40) RJ-11 Telco cable, twenty (20) Modem
cables for DB-9 to DB-25, and six (6) Blnkng plate for unused NRS or
NEZ pressing unit. Indian-owned firms that have at least 51 percent
Native American ownership are eligible for the proposed procurement
(Buy Indian Act). This announcement is to seek potential sources solely
from the Indian/Alaska Native Economic Enterprises, as authorized,
under the Buy Indian Act (25 USC 47). Indian/Alaska enterprise means
any business entity (whether organized for profit or not) which: (1) is
at least 51 percent owned by one or more Indian(s) or (an) Indian
Tribe, (2) one or more of those owners must be involved in the daily
business management of the economic enterprise, and (3) the majority of
the earnings accrue to the Indian person(s). These requirements cited
herein must exist when an offer is made to a solicitation, at the time
of award, and during the term of the contract. An Indian is defined as
a person who is a member of an Indian tribe as defined herein, or an
Alaska Native who is 1/4 degree or more Alaska Native blood and either
on or descended from someone on the roll of Alaska Natives prepared
pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971. Indian
Tribe means any Indian Tribe, band, nation, rancheria, pueblo, colony
or community which is Federally recognized as eligible by the U.S.
Government through the Secretary for the special programs and services
provided by the Secretary to Indians because of their status as
Indians. If your firm does not meet the socio-economic criteria listed
above, it is ineligible for this proposed procurement. All firms
claiming to qualify under the Buy Indian Act may be requested to
provide documented proof of their Buy Indian Status. Firms meeting the
stated requirements and capabilities are invited to respond, in
writing, with information concerning their qualification to the address
