Carol A. Klapal (201) 724-3274. The U.S. Army ARDEC has a requirement
for the Development and Producibility of XM237 Self-Destruct Fuze, for
deployment from the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). This Fuze is
a modified XM235 Fuze without a ground impact function and with the
following capabilities: An anti-disturbance (AD) function from 0-4
hours, an electronic random time self-destruct function from 1 to 4
hours, and a battery bleed-down function to kill the battery within 60
minutes after an SD or AD misfire occurs. The design of the proposed
Fuze must be complete and proven within 3 months after contract award.
