The work consists of a base bid and several options for repairs to an existing building. The base bid includes replacement of existing chillers, cooling tower and main switch gear; installation of a Government furnished UPS system; addition to mechanical room for new chillers. Bid options may be awarded for removal of friable asbestos in the attic spaces, installation fire sprinkler systems, demolition and replacement of existing deteriorated finishes, upgrade of power and lighting throughout building, installation of raised computer flooring, installation of an elevator and removal and replacement of light fixtures which contain PCBs. The existing building contains lead paint and friable and non-friable asbestos. Due to the lack of SDB interest, this project is hereby being issued as unrestricted. Estimated cost is is revised to $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Estimated duration of the contract is 365 calendar days for completion from date of award. (0219)
