Z -- BLDGS. 29 & 46, REPLACE SLATE ROOFS & COPPER GUTTERS SOL 556-16-95 DUE 091995 POC Contracting Officer, Pamela Smith, (708)578-3722 Contractor to furnish all necessary material, equipment, tools, supplies, labor, services, and supervision to remove all copper eave-gutter parapet flashing (new downspouts will be reused), and remove metal roofing, including underlayment on Bldg. 29. Remove existing slate roofing, including underlayment and flashings, and replace damaged or rotted sheathing (up to 200 sq. ft. of sheathing replacement) on both Buildings. Provide and install 3/4 inch CDX, plywood fascia with a copper fascia cover, and copper gutters and downspouts on Bldg. 46. Provide and install gutters and eave/parapet flashing on Bldg. 29. Provide and install new slate roofs, including underlayment, flashings, etc. on both Buildings. New roofs shall match the existing with respect to width, exposure of slates, saddle ridges, hips, etc. Provide and install copper roofing on nearly flat top of roof area on Bldg. 29. Both Buildings are located at the VAMC, North Chicago, IL. The estimated completion time for this project is 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business and SIC Code 1761, and the related Small Business Size Standard of $7 million applies. The solicitation will be issued on or about 8/18/95, with bid opening on 9/19/95, or 30 days from issue date.
