The U.S. Marshals Service has a requirement to purchase portable air filtration equipment for use in its prisoner cellblock area of the district office in Miami, Florida. This equipment should include both high efficiency particulate (HEPA) filters and shielded ultraviolet light (UV) to reduce the potential for transmission of infectious tuberculosis. HEPA filtration alone will not be acceptable as it must be capable of destroying hazardous microbial airborne particulate in accordance with October 28, 1994 CDC guidelines.
