SOL N00421-95-R-5002 DUE 102595 POC Denise A. Manross, Contract
Specialist, (301) 342-1830 x129. The Concept Analysis, Evaluation and
Planning Department of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division
has a requirement for tasks related to the advanced concepts and
multi-warfare implications of naval battle force architecture and
systems. This acquisition provides systems engineering and analysis
tasks for advanced weapons systems. This support will be required at
both the Patuxent River, MD and Warminster, PA sites. The period of
performance is estimated to be from March 1996 through February 1997
with four (4) one-year options. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee Level of Effort
type contract is contemplated. The approximate level of effort is
estimated to be 7,650 man-hours per year. The system engineering effort
shall address the issues and problems which exist at the battle force
level and at the platform level. Efforts shall be directed at
multi-warfare area interaction problems and the translation of these
problems into individual platform requirements. The primary focus is on
the requirements definition, concept formulation, and early
demonstration and evaluation program phases. The effort shall also
insure that all areas of system engineering required through system
design, development, integration, test, and fleet introduction be
addressed adequately to support program formation and planning
functions inherent in a completed weapon system development cycle. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
