Part A: Building 11 Addition-provides about 5,300 SF of additional space immediately adjacent to the existing store, Building 11. Primary structure to be braced frame founded on concrete piles, structural slab and grade beams. Scope provides for demolition of existing temporary structures, construction of passenger elevator, fire sprinklers and alarms, security system, renovation of existing lavatories, HVAC distribution, all utilities, irrigation, landscaping, interior finishes. Part B: Building 11, built in 1921, demolition of existing unreinforced masonry walls, windows and interior finishes, additional reinforcement of existing grade beams, reconstruction of existing pile caps, salvage os existing terra cotta tile roof tiles, replacement of plywood roof diaphragm and reconstruction of historic roof tiles, and installation of tie rods to existing roof support structure.
