Lance Christensen, 312/669-5964 The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting contractors to remove and replace 5 Rooftop AC units. New wiring and gas line are included, as well as, a computer controlled HVAC Management System to program start/stop times, status, alarms and room temperature readouts. Remove window AC units and turn over to Postal Maintenance, replace lights. Duct modifications consist of adding one section of new and replacing existing diffusers with thermally powered diffusers. Two new ceiling (propeller type) are to be installed in the lobby area to reduce heat stratification. Construction cost range: $200,000.00 to $250,000.00. Evaluation factors in addition to price to be considered are as follows: 1. Postal experience, 2. General experience and 3. Current Workload and Capacity. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 1995 at 1:30 pm at the Main Post Office, 735 W. Huron St., Pontiac, Michigan. Construction completion time will be one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed.
