Foley, GP22-C/Contracting Officer NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Multiconductor Cable in a quantity of 275,000 feet for east and west -- All material shall be new -- SHIELDS shall be foil, aluminum-polyester or mylar-supported aluminum foil shield, aluminum facing inward, with standard tinned copper drain wire identical to conductors and shall provide 100% coverage -- CONDUCTORS shall be stranded tinned copper wire, with a polyvinyl chloride jacket -- FILLERS if required, shall be nonhygroscopic -- Fillers shall be either solid polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene rod or filament, or polyvinyl chloride jacketed fiberglass -- CONDUCTOR INSULATION -- insulation over each indiviual conductor of multiconductor cable shall be color coded polyethylene -- CABLING -- There will be no splicing of conductors, insulation or jackets in a reel length -- Detailed specifications will be included in the RFQ -- This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA) -- Request for copies of the RFQ must be submitted in writing -- Transmission by facsimile to 205-544-9080 or by Internet e-mail to kenneth smith@msfc.nasa.gov is acceptable -- The RFQ will be released on or about 15 days after publication of this notice in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) -- The RFQ will have a 15 day response period -- This procurement is a total small business set-aside.
