66 -- PURCHASE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM RECEIVERS Contact Point: Elaine Farabee, (614) 766-3843. The Ohio Army National Guard intends to purchase seven Global Positioning System Receivers from Trimble Navigation, Sunnyvale, California. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans or drawings related to the procurement described are not available and cannot be furnished by the government. Telephone or facsimile proposals are not accepted.
