SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: One HSJ44 package consisting of four (4) Small Computer Systems Interconnect (SCSI) I/O controllers and two (2) controller mounting shelves with power supplies meeting the following specifications: --HSJ44-AF. --BA350-MB. --Full VAX CI cluster host interface support and compatibility for each controller. --Must be 100% compatible with the VAX CI bus and DEC Storage Works SCSI disk and tape drives. --Two controller mounting shelves with power supplies that are 100% plug compatible with the DEC SW812 Storage Works cabinet. --Must be 100% compatible with the VAX VMS V6.1 operating system and shall not require any modifications to the VMS operating system. --Must support a minimum of 6 independent SCSI-2 device buses on each controller. -- Capable of supporting a minimum of 36 storage devices on the above 6 buses. --Provide at least 32 MByte read cache on each controller. --Provide support for controller-based disk striping. - -Provide a minimum throughput of 1100 I/O requests/second on each controller. --Support a minimum sustained transfer rate of 4.0 MB/ sec on each controller. --Shall include all cables required to connect each controller to existing Star Coupler (or equivalent). -- Shall provide all documentation required for installation and use. - -License, media, and documentation for any required controller software shall be provided for each controller. --No additional warranty or maintenance beyond the standard 90-day warranty is required.
