636-4343 The U.S. Coast Guard Supply Center Curtis Bay is conducting
a market survey for potential sources to satisfy the following
characteristics for rectangular steel tubing. Quantity shall be ten
(10) units each with a length of 25 feet each at a minimum. Material
shall be seamless alloy steel mechanical tubing in accordance with ASTM
A 519-94 with a grade of 4130. The form shall be rectangular with 8''
X 6'' X 5/16'' wall thickness. The manufacturing process may be hot or
cold finished. Material must be in a stress relieved condition. The
intended use of the material is for construction of a boat handling
crane boom. Contractors are encourged to send a capability statement
along with other technical information which may satisfy the above
requirement to Procurement Branch, Building 86, Contracts Section III,
ATTN: Patrick Mannion/FRI#1, U.S. Coast Guard Supply Center Curtis
Bay, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226. The Contractor
should place FRI#1 on all correspondence relating to this announcment
must be received in the Procurement Branch within 15 calendar days of
