The Federal Prison Camp, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery Al proposes to make a single award, on a firm-fixed price, commission-only basis, for the provision of on-site coin-operated vending machine services for two (2) soft drink machines. The initial contract period is from date of award through September 30, 1996, with four successive 12-month option renewal periods, running from October 1 through September 30 of the respective years. Successful contractor must be able to provide an emergency response time of four (4) hours for repair or restocking of machines; shall restock the machines a minimum of once weekly and have the capability to increase the frequency of restocking if usage is heavy; and shall be able to install the machines ten (10) days after award. Contractual duties will include: installation at contractor's expense of two (2) canned beverage/soft drink machines to be located on the athletic field in an area accessible to electrical power outlets already in place; servicing of such machines at least once weekly to ensure that machines are operative and stocked with product; and submission of a monthly itemization of activity which includes a total of product placed in machine, amount sold, and commission due the Government from sales. For more specific informaton detailing the responsibilities of this contractual position, refer to Section C of the solicitation package. Detailed security investigative procedures will be required as outlined in Section H of the solicitation package and will include, but not be limited to, a urinalysis, fingerprinting, NCIC check and five-year verification of employers and law enforcement agencies.
