Contract Specialist, 334-293-2231. The Federal Prison Camp, Maxwell Air
Force Base, Montgomery AL proposes to make a single award, on a
firm-fixed-price, requirements basis, for the provision of an on-site
librarian. Session length for provision of services is three (3) hours,
and it is anticipated that three (3) sessions per week will be
utilized, if available funding permits. The initial contract period is
from date of award through September 30, 1996, with four successive
12-month option renewal periods, running from October 1 through
September 30 of the respective years. Successful contractor must have
a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Library Science and three years of
verifiable experience coordination library services in a public or
private setting. Contractual duties will include control of circulation
of all incoming fiction, nonfiction and reference materials in
accordance with commonly accepted library practices; provision of
training to inmate library clerks; and selection of appropriate
materials for the library which will enhance the recreational and
educational nature of the library which will be submitted at scheduled
intervals to the Library Advisory Committee for action. For more
specific information detailing the responsibilities of this contractual
position, refer to Section C of the solicitation package. The required
schedule for performance of services is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday,
exclusive of Federal holidays, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Detailed
security investigative procedures will be required as outlined in
Section H of the solicitation package and will include, but not be
limited to, a urinalysis, fingerprinting, NCIC check, and five-year
verification of employers and law enforcement agencies. All responsible
