Maintenance Services for the Modernization of Elevators, at the Peter
W. Rodino, Jr. Federal Office Building, 970 Broad Street, Newark, New
Jersey. The project shall comprise Design/ Modernization of 13
elevators and Maintenance of 15 elevators. The project also includes a
36 month option for maintenance services. Options will be priced and
evaluated for award. Estimated Cost range from $1,000,000 to
$5,000,000. This procurement is being made under the Small Business
Competitive Demonstration Program. Consideration will be given to BOTH
LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. In accordance with Public Law
95-507, the selected Design/Build Contractor will be required to
provide maximum practicable opportunities for Small Business Concerns
and Small Business Concerns owned and controlled by socially and
economically disadvantaged individuals to participate as subcontractors
in the performance of the contract. In support of the agency efforts,
firms seeking consideration for this contract should provide maximum
practicable subcontracting opportunities for small, small
disadvantaged, and women-owned business. The use of
subcontractor/consultants shown on the submitted proposal will be
reflected in a Small Business and Small Disadvantaged Business
Subcontracting Plan included in the contract. The minimum acceptable
subcontracting target goals for this project will be issued at a later
date. A Pre-proposal conference will be held on Wednesday, September
27, 1995, 10:00 A.M. at the Peter W. Rodino Building, 970 Broad Street;
