COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 14,1995 PSA#1409Commandant(G-ACS-1B/SP), U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, 2100 Second
Street SW., Washington, DC 20593-0001 20 -- FOG DETECTORS-NOTICE OF OPTION QUANTITY NOT PREVIOUSLY
SYNOPSIZED OR EVALUATED AT TIME OF CONTRACT AWARD DUE 083195 POC
Contact: L. Scott Palmer, Ph: 202/267-2489/Contracting Officer: L.
Scott Palmer, Ph: 202/267-2489 The U.S. Coast Guard intends to exercise
an option for an additional 28 fog detectors under Option Year Two of
contract DTCG23-93-D-EC3052 awarded to Fidelity Technologies
Corporation in the amount of $136,612.00 on September 30, 1993. Due to
an increase in operational requirements, the Coast Guard requires 128
Fog Detectors listed under CLIN 0003B rather than the 100 units listed
as the maximum quantity for the period from October 1, 1994 through
September 30, 1995. The additional fog detectors must be identical to
the units currently being ordered under the aforementioned contract in
order to ensure standardization. These units are required to be
delivered in 120 days to meet the increased field installation
schedule. The additional 28 units were not evaluated as part of the
option year at time of award. However, it is noted that the increase in
units to be procured in Option Year Two does not cause the total
contract ceiling price to exceed the initial contract ceiling price of
$1,564,800.00, nor does it exceed the initial contract maximum of 300
fog detectors. This synopsis also serves as notice of the Coast
Guard's intent to award the final option year of the contract, Option
Year Three, CLINs 0004B-0004G, at established contract prices. All
correspondence shall reference the Contract number DTCG23-93-D-EC3052
and include the responding firm's name, address, contact point, and
telephone number. This Notice is for informational purposes for
