Since we have completed draft specifiations concerning the product to be procured, we would now like to request comments regarding such draft specifications. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. (1) Name: SM optical fiber WB cable. (2) Overview: This waterblocking, multifiber optical cable meets ITU-T G650 and IEC793-1, 794-1 standards and is used in feeder and distribution sections installed in underground conduits. The maximum number of fibers is 300. There are two types: Non-connectorized cable and one end pre-connectorized cable. In addition, group A has less than 100 fibers, and group B has more than 160 fibers. (3) Estimated procurement quantity: Group A: about 5,300 km/year, Group B: about 1,900 km/year (This quantity is the current estimate; however, it may change during public notification of procurement). After preparing a list of supplied information, NTT will provide the list to applicants interested in obtaining such a list; to those who have responded to the request for comments; and to those who have purchased the Procurement Documentation relating to procurement of the product. However, NTT will not assume any responsibility for possible outcomes arising from supply of the list.
