The data acquisition system must incorporate a host computer with at least 128 mb memory and 2 removeable disk drives with at least 4 gb of storage per drive. 4mm tape drive is required to provide at least 4 gb uncompressed backups. Other equipment requirements are Cd Rom; Fortran and C compiler; Irig A and B time code reader. System must be capable of running Labview, Tecplot and Matlab. The operating system must be Unix based and deliver at least 125 spec int92 and 120 sepc fp92 in performance. 36 high response pressure transducers shall be monitored and sampled at a rate of at least 200,000 samples per second (up to 500,000 samples per second for six channels) with a sample and hold capability.
