Cooper, 304/285-4160 The U.S. Department of Energy's Morgantown Energy Technology Center intends to award a fixed-price contract on a non-competitive basis with Sensor Research Development Corporation of PO Box 191, Orono, Maine, 04473 to evaluate Semiconductor Metal Oxide Film for the Detection of Ammonia. The proposed contractor's past experience with merging a surface acoustic wave technologies with chemivesistive semiconductor metal oxide films is judged to be uniquely qualified for to perform the required analysis. The Government estimate for this action anticipates a level of effort of approximately 12 months. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source(s) capable of performing the required work are encourged to respond. Only written responses will receive consideration. Responses must convey clear and convincing documentation of advantages to the Government to consider another source. The documentation shall include descriptive literature containing sufficent technical documnetation to estiblish a bonafide capilityt of meeting this requirement. This action will be processed through Simplified Acquisition techniques. A writtenproposal will be required.
