(805) 258-2904 Because the flight mission of NASA Dryden Flight
Research Center is critical and downtime must be kept to a minimum, the
center cannot take the risks of disconnect/disagreement associated with
using different hardware and software maintenance suppliers. It is the
Government's intent to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10
U.S.C. 2305(c)(1) with only one source, Silicon Graphics Incorporated
(SGI), Mountain View, California for maintenance services on the SGI
computers used in the Simulation and Integrated Test Branch.The service
will entail hardware maintenance, firmware upgrades, software updates,
support of programming help for the Silicon Graphics computer systems,
and telephone support. No purchase of hardware/software are associated
with this requirement. Period of performance may be one-year basic
plus for one-yearoptions. This notice is not a request for proposals.
Interested firms shall submit documentation supporting their ability to
meet 100% of this requirement within 15 days of publication of this
notice. See Numbered Note 22. NOTICE: Effective October 1, 1995 the
Internet will be the only source of NASA/DFRC synopses and
solicitations for business opportunities up to $5 million. Synopses
will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed
using client browsers such as MOSAIC. The WWW address, or URL, of the
