Q -- RADIATION ONCOLOGIST SOL RFP 600-066-95 DUE 092795 POC Contact Point, Ella Rea Watters, (310)494-5534 Professional Services of Board Certified Radiation Oncologist (American Specialty Board in Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology) Physician with three (3) years experience in a clinical setting after completion of training. Major duties will be clinical. Provide a minimum of 20 hours/week (approx. 640 hours/annually); provide 40 hours/week (approx 400 hours/annually) for vacationing VA Staff Oncologist, and participate in on-call rotation every other week. Assist VA Staff Oncologist in the evaluation of patients daily radiation treatment and completion of radiation therapy patient records, as needed for quality improvement and research. Contract Physician shall exhibit current competence in modern treatment principle and techniques, in external irradiation and brachytherapy for malignancy in various anatomic sites and also the treatment of benign disease. Contract Physician must have knowledge of megavoltage and electron beam linear accelerator unit, superficial x-ray therapy unit, simulator and computerized treatment planning system. Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM - Hours of coverage by Contract Physician can be established by mutual convenience. The Government's intent is to award for Base Year with two One-Year Options.
